This was a decent game somewhat hobbled by an interesting concept (to try and allow for multiplayer play). It used dedicated servers, so playing off-line was... not possible. However, due to low sales and some of the pitfalls of needing online access (and servers)... the license recently ran out.Fun while it lasted.. I really want to like this game. It has interesting character development, quite fluid and playable combat system, great theme. Sadly, for me its multiplayer system is completely off-putting. Everytime after a run, I go back to the base and my immersion is completely broken by random people running through my char and everywhere around the screen. If I knew beforehand that this is basically mmo, I would not buy it, as it really destroyes any sense of accomplishment from single player campaign. The game is advertised as indie strategy rpg, as xcom with magic. In fact it is tactical mmorpg. If it were clearly described as mmo, I would recommend it as the gameplay is sound, however as a single player title I cannot do so.If you want good single player RPG go for one of the Harebrained's titles. Or Witcher, or something, but beware - this certainly is not a single player title.. This was a single player game with a lobby to coop with people. That one small thing made sure when they decided to stop hosting it, it died. It should have been made with an offline option, so it does not feel like theft when they shut it down.. Honestly, the worst Shadowrun video game I've played, I tried to like it, but its just... sad. I've played and loved every other Shadowrun game that has come out, other than this.. Pros:-multiplayer-combat focusedcons:-lacks on storyafter finishing hbs shadowrun games this feels both good and bad but the good parts outweight the bad so this is honestly pretty good game. it has multiplayer. if you liked shadowrun theme and wanted multiplayer, this is it. but if you in for deep story and game changing dialogue choices, better stick with single player games.. Single player locked behind servers. Developer shutting servers down.. This is almost everything I could ever dream Shadowrun could be in the form of a video game but there's room for a little more. For instance, I wish it was controller friendly instead of point and click style. The other thing is maybe it could be an MMO. Other than those two things, This game is perfect.
